Kids Marine Program
OCTOBER
Junior Marine Scientist is AQWA's 3 hour fully hosted program for ages 6-12. Enjoy amazing animal experiences with hands-on science fun. We'll take your curious kid for a half-day of fun ocean-themed activities and discovery, including lunch, glass bottom boat ride, guided tours, biology basics and more!
Available to participants aged 6-12 years. Further participant exclusions and requirements may apply (see below).
This program will run on select dates during WA school holidays from 8.45am – 12.00pm* .
Bookings are essential. Availability is limited and is subject to change without notice.

Participants must be aged 6-12 years.
Participants will require a parent/guardian to sign them in and out on the day.
Participant to bring comfortable enclosed footwear, jacket/jumper and water bottle.
Participant will be required to wear a self inflating life jacket during the Glass Bottom Boat component of the program.
Not recommended for those with fear of water/boating

Adult AQWA Entry is NOT included and the program is limited to child participants only.
Bookings do not include ‘priority entry’ for participants. Please arrive with plenty of time before your booked experience starts.
Program Outline:
Start time is 8.45am. Must arrive 10 minutes prior to start time for briefing and handover.
Once signed-in, participants will not be permitted to exit from the program or depart the aquarium without their parent/guardian.
Participants will remain with an AQWA Ocean Guide at all times. All AQWA Ocean Guides have police clearances and working with children permits.
Approximate finish time is 12.00pm. Children can be collected from the Function Centre entrance (past the main entrance).
Booking Terms / Cancellations / Refunds:
Confirmed bookings may not be cancelled and are non-refundable.
Bookings may be rescheduled up to 7 days prior to the booked experience without penalty, by contacting AQWA.
Bookings rescheduled less than 7 days and up to 24 hours before the booked experience are at AQWA’s discretion and may incur a re-booking fee (penalty).
Requests to reschedule less than 24 hours prior to the booked experience, non-arrivals (“no-shows”) are considered cancellations and cannot be refunded or rescheduled. In the instance of serious illness or injury, a valid medical certificate will be required.
Minimum numbers must be met for program to proceed. If minimum numbers are not met, you will be offered al alternative date, program or refund at AQWA’s discretion.

There’s a commotion in the ocean and its made by all the colourful characters of the sea! Toddlers and pre-schoolers are invited to join us for Storytime every Wednesday. Free activity!
Book a Starfish Discovery session for your little superstar! Kids aged 2+ can join this fun-filled guided session to explore, up-close, the super features of starfish!
Make a song and dance about it... Sea School is in session! AQWA's pre-school program for ages 3 to 5 incorporates music, movement, crafts and close-up explorations of of your favourite sea creatures.
