SCHOOL HOLIDAY MARINE PROGRAM
Junior Marine Scientist
AQWA's Junior Marine Scientist mixes real animal care, with hands-on science and behind the scenes access. It's sure to generate wonder for our oceans and inspire your little scientist! This 3 hour edutainment program includes lunch, animal feeding, biology basics, bubble science and more. This workshop is for children aged 6-12 years of age.

Available to participants aged 6-12. Further participant exclusions and requirements may apply (see below).
This program will run on select dates during WA school holidays from 8.45am – 12.00pm* .
Maximum 27 participants per session.

Need To Know
Requirements:
Participants must be aged 6-12 years.
Participants will require a parent/guardian to sign them in and out on the day.
Participant to bring comfortable enclosed footwear, jacket/jumper and water bottle.
Participant will be required to wear a self0inflating life jacket during the Glass Bottom Boat component of the program.
Exclusions:
Not available for those under 6 years or over 12 years.
Not suitable for those with significant mobility issues.
Not suitable for those with fear of water/boating.
Bookings do not include ‘priority entry’ to AQWA, so arrive with plenty of time before your booked experience starts, see below:
Program Outline:
Start time is 8.45am. Must arrive 10 minutes prior to start time for briefing and handover.
Once signed-in, participants will not be permitted to depart from the program without a parent/guardian.
Parents/guardians are not required to stay for the program and AQWA Entry for parents is NOT included.
Participants will remain with an AQWA Ocean Guide at all times. All AQWA Ocean Guides have police clearances and working with children permits.
Approximate finish time is 12.00pm. Children can be collected from the Function Centre entrance (past the main entrance).
Booking Terms / Cancellations / Refunds:
Once a booking is made, it is non-refundable.
Minimum numbers must be met for program to proceed. If minimum numbers are not met, you will be offered al alternative date, program or refund at AQWA’s discretion.
Bookings can be cancelled/rescheduled up to 7 days before the booked experience without penalty, by contacting AQWA.
Bookings cancelled/rescheduled within 7 days and up to 24 hours before the booked experience will be at AQWA’s discretion and may receive a re-booking fee (penalty).
Cancellations within 24 hours of the booked experience, missed sessions or “no-shows” on the day will NOT be refunded or rescheduled. In the instance of serious illness or injury, a medical certificate will be required.
