Sea School
Make a song and dance and SPLASH into Sea School! AQWA's pre-school program for ages 3 to 5 runs for 8 weeks and incorporates music, movement, fine-motor skills and age-suitable science! In our ocean classroom each week you'll meet a new sea creature through fun-facts, sign-language, a craft activity and Storytime! To keep things moving, everyone will get jiggling like a jellyfish to a familiar tune and stretch like an octopus into yoga poses. To finish, you'll enjoy a tour to a your creature's home habitat with your friendly Ocean Guide for an up-close encounter. Plus you'll collect a take home 'creature report' each week to continue the learning at home.

Course Outline Term 4
- Join us for an 8 week term of learning and laughter, with a unique animal, craft and tour featured each week:
- WEEK 1: Shark - Tour Underwater Tunnel
- WEEK 2: Schoolingfish - Tour Marina Bay
- WEEK 3: Seagrass - Tour Coral Reef & Seagrass Exhibit
- WEEK 4: Starfish - Tour Touch Pool
- WEEK 5: Seadragon - Tour Great Southern
- WEEK 6: Turtle - Tour Turtle Rescue Centre
- WEEK 7: Seahorse - Tour Perth Coast
- WEEK 8: Anemonefish - Tour Far North
Includes
- 8 Sea School sessions for 1 Child and 1 Adult guardian
- Restricted AQWA Entry (session is fully guided and participants exit the aquarium with their Guide at completion of each workshop).
- One 45 minute Sea School session per week, where you will:
- Go on a tour to the sea creature's home - what's it doing today?
- Discover 5 fun facts about the featured creature
- Learn to sign each animal in sign language
- Dance & sing to a familiar tune, with a Sea School twist
- Meet your sea creature as a memorable character in Storytime
- Make a take-home craft
- Collect a 'creature report' fact sheet
Availability
Term 4 Commences October:
- Tuesday 15 October
- Thursday 17 October
Sessions run for 45 minutes, commencing at at 9.15am
Places are strictly limited with a maximum of 15 children per workshop.
Booking & enrolment is essential. No admissions on the day without enrolment. You only need to make one booking to enrol for all 8 sessions.
Partial enrolments or payments are not available. You must book and pay for the full 8 week course upfront.
Please select either Tuesday or Thursday, which be your allocated day. You cannot change/swap days once the course has commenced (unless availability allows).

Need To Know
The course fee includes 8 sessions (held only once per week) for one child and an accompanying Adult guardian. Adult guardian can change per session – not restricted to a specific individual.
AQWA Annual Members receive 10% off. Select the MEMBER price when booking. Must present at least 1 active membership pass upon arrival.
Parents/guardians are expected to stay with their child during every session.
At the completion of each session, participants will be required to leave the aquarium (Full Day AQWA Entry is not included, only restricted guided access). Over the course of the 8 weeks, most exhibits/aquariums will be visited during the guided Tour component of the session.
AQWA Annual Members are welcome to remain in the aquarium once their Membership Pass has been checked-in at reception.
Missed sessions will not be refunded or rebooked. However, the take-home course materials of the missed session (including craft activity and fact sheet) will be provided at your next session to complete at home.
Non-participating Infants aged 0-2 are free to attend with a participating sibling. Any child aged 3+ (or a keen 2+ year old wanting to participate), will need to enrol and pay the course fee.
