Kids Marine Program
TERM 4 | ENROL NOW
Make a song and dance about it... Sea School is in session! AQWA's pre-school program for ages 3 to 5 runs for 8 weeks and incorporates music, movement, fine-motor skills and age-suitable science. In our ocean classroom each week you'll meet a new sea creature through fun-facts, sign-language, movement activities, craft and Storytime! Then its 'excursion time', as you head out to meet your creature in a fully-guided tour of its home habitat with your friendly Ocean Guide. Enrol now for a whole term of discovery and fun!
Sessions run for 45 minutes, arrive 9.00am for a 9.15am start
Schedule:
Mondays: commence 19 October
Tuesdays: commence 20 October
Thursdays: commence 22 October
*Note: sessions will not run on public holidays. Your Ocean Guide will confirm your timetable.
Bookings
Places are strictly limited. Maximum of 12 children per workshop.
Bookings & enrolment is essential. No admissions on the day without enrolment.
Bookings are non-refundable.
You only need to make one booking to enrol for all 8 sessions. Please select your preferred day when booking. This will be your allocated day for the Term.
You cannot change/swap days once the course has commenced (unless availability allows).
AQWA Annual Members receive 10% off. Select the MEMBER price when booking. Must present at least 1 active membership pass upon arrival.
Partial enrolments or payments are not available. You must book and pay for the full 8 week course upfront.
Mid-term/Pro rata enrolment is not available. Missed enrolment? There will be a new course open soon! Register for alerts to be the first to hear.
The course fee includes 8 sessions (held once per week) for one enrolled child and any accompanying Adult guardian. Adult guardian can change per session – not restricted to a specific individual.
Parents/Guardians: each child must be accompanied by an adult guardian for the entire session. This is not a “drop-and-go” experience.
Guided Access: this is a fully guided program. At the completion of each session, your Guide will farewell you at the exit – all day Standard Entry to AQWA is not included. Over the course of the 8 weeks, most exhibits/aquariums will be visited during the guided tour component of the session.
AQWA Annual Members are welcome to remain in the aquarium post-session as per their Membership benefits.
Missed Sessions: missed sessions will not be refunded or rebooked. However, the take-home course materials of the missed session (including craft activity and fact sheet) will be provided at your next session to complete at home.
Infants: non-participating Infants aged 0-2 are free to attend with a participating enrolled sibling. Any child aged 3+ (or a keen 2+ year old wanting to participate), will need to enrol and pay the course fee.
AQWA’s Sea School is created by a qualified Marine Biologist who has 20 years’ experience in creating public education programs that generate wonder and inspire respect for our oceans.

There’s a commotion in the ocean and its made by all the colourful characters of the sea! Toddlers and pre-schoolers are invited to join us for Storytime every Wednesday. Free activity!
A fully hosted program for kids age 6-12! Junior Marine Scientist mixes amazing animal experiences, tours & hands-on science fun.
