Due to the nature of this program, bookings for Companion Card holders should be arranged by contacting our Reception team via reception@aqwa.com.au. Carers accompanying Companion Card holders must meet the program participant requirements (excluding age restrictions) and accept booking terms and conditions should they intend to swim with the cardholder.

Requirements:

Participants must be aged 12-16 years.

Program may not be suited for those with restricted mobility .

Participants will require a parent/guardian to co-sign their waiver, witnessed by an AQWA staff member on the day.

Participants must be in good general health (see exclusions below).

Participant to bring swimwear/bathers, towel, warm jacket, water bottle, hat, comfortable shoes, small waterproof camera (if desired). All other equipment is provided, however you can use your own snorkel equipment if preferred.

Participants must be capable of swimming, traversing stairs and managing snorkel equipment (wetsuit, mask, snorkel, fins). In particular, participants must be confident to swim with snorkel equipment for approx. 20 minutes.

Participants must follow the directions of the Divemaster at all times during the guided snorkel; failure to do so may result in expulsion from the water.

Exclusions:

Participants must not suffer from epilepsy, asthma or heart conditions.

Not available for those under 12 years or over 16 years.

No swimwear/bathers or towels are provided.

No duck-diving or touching/feeding of the animals is permitted in this experience.

Bookings do not include ‘priority entry’ to AQWA, so arrive with plenty of time before your booked experience starts, see below:

Program Outline:

Arrive at least 15 minutes prior to start time for sign-in and handover.

Once signed-in, participants will not be permitted to depart from the program without a parent/guardian.

Approximate duration is 4 hours, dependant on number of participants on the day.

Participants will remain with an AQWA Ocean Guide at all times.

Parents/guardians are not required to stay for the program. However if they wish to watch their child Swim with Sharks they can purchase the discounted Spectator ticket as part of their booking. Ask your program Ocean Guide for approximate in-water timeframe on the day.

Booking Terms / Cancellations / Refunds:

Once a booking is made, it is non-refundable.

Minimum numbers must be met for program to proceed. If minimum numbers are not met, you will be offered an alternative date, program or refund at AQWA’s discretion.

Bookings can be cancelled/rescheduled up to 7 days before the booked experience without penalty, by contacting AQWA.

Bookings cancelled/rescheduled within 7 days and up to 24 hours before the booked experience will be at AQWA’s discretion and may receive a re-booking fee (penalty).

Cancellations within 24 hours of the booked experience, missed sessions or “no-shows” on the day will NOT be refunded or rescheduled. In the instance of serious illness or injury, a medical certificate will be required.
