What to Expect

This excursion package includes a 1-hour activity which ‘shellabrates’ the amazing features of turtles!

Your students will become turtle experts – from identifying species, to exploring their habitats and discovering the unique roles they play within ecosystems.

The guided portion of your excursion includes a turtle biology & classification talk; a hands-on activity where students role-play being a turtle researcher, using real equipment; then discover the work of the AQWA Foundation and how our Rescue, Rehabilitate and Release program helps conserve these keystone species.

Remaining time of your excursion is self-guided.
