They are seven species of sea turtles in the world and six of them can be found here in WA! Sea turtles have a large streamlined shell, flippers designed for swimming – not walking – and they can’t pull their heads or flippers inside their shells. Like most reptiles, sea turtles have a backbone, breathe air and lay eggs. They also rely on their environment to warm or cool their body.
