DownloadAQWA is open from 9am. A Standard Excursion is 2.5 hours and you can nominate your arrival time. Excursion Programs run for a half-day or full-day session and your start and departure time will be stipulated.
Bus parking is available directly in front of AQWA’s entrance, parallel to the footpath. Free 4-hour car parking is also available.
On arrival please gather your group at the base of our main stairs (do not ascend) while the designated teacher checks-in at Reception. If raining, please keep students on the bus. An Ocean Guide will then welcome your group and lead them inside.
Picnic areas to eat recess and lunch are located at Marina Bay, Touch Pool and Coral Reef. Groups can also make use of the grassed area in front of AQWA's entry. School groups cannot eat packed recess/lunches in the AQWA Café.
Need student lunches? You can pre-order student snack-packs from the AQWA Café, served in compostable take-away boxes. Café is also open to teachers and secondary students for general service from 9am-2pm.
Personal items cannot be left in AQWA's exhibit areas, in particular, school backpacks. AQWA can store essential teacher's trolleys, first aid kits and eskis etc. in our Pram/Trolley parking, located near the Entry/Exit and additional storage spaces are available at Marina Bay.
There is an access ramp, access gate or elevator to all areas, except our Great Southern exhibit, which is set alongside a stairwell. There are large, unisex-accessible toilets available. If you have any accessibility questions, please contact AQWA prior to arrival.
Good to know! AQWA's amenities include; fully air-conditioned; male, female and unisex designated toilets; first aid room; drink water fountain; shaded outdoor & picnic areas; and pram/trolley parking.
