AQWA’S OCTOBER SCHOOL HOLIDAY ACTIVITIES
30 September 2003
AQWA – The Aquarium of Western Australia – has an exciting programme of activities for children (and adults) during the October school holidays.
Finding Nemo Competition
Visit AQWA this school holiday to see the characters from Finding Nemo - the fantastic animated Disney movie. Children can enter the exciting Finding Nemo competition to learn more about the real animals behind the characters and be in the running to win heaps of daily prizes, including soundtracks, magnets and stickers and one huge overall prize pack that includes a Playstation 2 Finding Nemo game, a book, a bag and heaps more!
Follow the Finding Nemo characters around AQWA using the underwater map. Decide whether the incredible information about each animal is true or false, complete your entry and place it in the competition barrel at AQWA.
The competition runs from 27 September to 12 October. Underwater maps available from AQWA’s front counter.
AQWA Naps
Experience the excitement of sleeping under the sea surrounded by sharks, giant stingrays, turtles and thousands of fish at an AQWA Nap! Children aged between 7 and 12 can sleepover in AQWA’s main aquarium and then wake up to breakfast with the seals.
A light supper and breakfast will be provided.
AQWA Naps held on 8 and 9 October
Cost: $60 per child ($55 for AQWA Members). Bookings are essential.
