Follow up Activities

Here are some ideas of fun activities for your class following your visit to AQWA:

• Have an AQWA quiz! Have students write down 3 facts that they learnt while at AQWA. Compile the questions then divided your class into teams and hold your very own quiz show.
• Group presentations – For your excursion you divided your class into small groups. Most primary teachers give each group a marine name such as starfish, shark, or stingray. Extend this theme by having each group discuss what they observed and learnt about their particular animal. Then have each group present this information to the rest of the class.
• Use the postcard worksheet to write stories about your visit, and the animals your students meet along the way.
